CAMBRIDGE Ryan Summers, an 11-year-old struck by lightning July 23, came home to Cambridge Friday after two months of recovery in two different hospitals.

Ryan's journey started at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, where he spent almost a month before transferring to Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore. Experts there estimated his return for October; instead, the young man headed home two weeks earlier than expected.
