CAMBRIDGE - The old Coldwater Seafood plant which was located on Woods Road in Cambridge is seeking former employees for a reunion.

Coldwater Seafood was the second largest employer in Dorchester County for many years and after Airpax moved its production to Mexico, it became the largest. Until it was purchased and closed in 2007, it employed more than 450 people at any given time.

"I suspect that many, many more people had some connection to the company over the years," said Jamie Doehlert, of the reunion organizing committee. Workers, family, friends and anyone who is interested in attending is welcome, Doehlert said.

The event is planned for Saturday, Oct. 12, but the organizing committee is requesting help in getting the word out before then. The event will be held at 4 p.m. until the last attendee leaves, at Sailwinds Park in Cambridge. Sailwinds has a broad view of the Cambridge Harbor and the Choptank River.

The organizing committee includes Doehlert, John Haller, Zeb Barlow, Gilbert Cephas, Bevelyn Cephas-Wongus and Donna Landon.

For more information, contact John Haller at 410-228-0952.
