ST. MICHAELS — A new program titled Cultures of Crabbing will bring the Chesapeake Bay’s crabbing traditions and industry to life from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.

During the program, visitors will see crab-picking and harvesting demonstrations along Waterman’s Wharf and the museum’s Small Boat Shed exhibit buildings. Information on crab biology, packing house operations and the Eastern Shore’s growing Hispanic population and their importance to the crab industry also will be shared throughout the interactive program.
