GRASONVILLE The Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office is investigating the unattended death of an infant in the morning of March 12, police said.

At 10:12 a.m., a 911 call was made alerting authorities to an unresponsive child in the Main Street home of Selina Elswick and Thomas Sollas, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

When police and emergency crews arrived, they attempted to revive 4-month-old Alize Sharpe Sollas. She was taken to Memorial Hospital at Easton, where she was pronounced dead at 11:01 a.m., police said.

Police say that investigation into the death is continuing.
