EASTON — A few exciting artifacts are beginning to come out of this summer's archaeological excavation of “The Hill” which is taking place in the back yard of perhaps the town's oldest building, the Talbot County Women's Club on Talbot Lane.

This is the second year that archaeologists from the University of Maryland and Morgan State University have been concentrating on the age-old African-American neighborhood of The Hill.
