Maryland Comptroller Tours The Hill
Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot stands where Frederick Douglass stood at the Asbury United Methodist Church dedication in 1877 while the Rev. Richard Molock looks on Wednesday afternoon. Franchot and his party concluded their tour of "The Hill" at Asbury United Methodist Church on Higgins Street, one of two churches considered to be part of the birthplace of African-American Methodism on the Eastern Shore.
