QUEENSTOWN — Wilfred T. Azar died of natural causes on Feb. 5, 2014, at his home in Queenstown. He was 96. He was born Feb. 13, 1917, in St. Catherine Ontario, Canada.

He is survived by his wife Mary Frances of 75 years and his children Annee E. Azar, Wilfred T. Azar Jr. and his wife Carol, Mary Frances Sergi and her husband Michael and H. James Azar. He also had 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. He was a Commercial Real Estate Developer and was the founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of North Arundel Hospital currently known as Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie from 1958-1998. Mr. Azar was a charter member of the Annapolis Yacht Club and was an avid yachtsman for many years.

A Mass service was offered on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church located at 5319 Ocean Gateway, Queenstown, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Queen Anne’s County (info@hospiceofqueenannes.org).
