SALISBURY — Ashley Crossman, Kent Island High girls’ basketball team’s leading scorer over the course of the season, didn’t score a point in the first quarter of Wednesday night’s Bayside Conference championship against Mardela at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center.

SALISBURY Maddie Granger had 16 points, including a 6-for-8 performance from the foul line, to go with five steals Wednesday, as underdog Saints Peter and Paul High upended Salisbury Christian 47-38 in the semifinals of the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference girls' basketball playoffs.

SALISBURY - Kent County High boys' basketball coach Sobaye Scott is 35 years old; he hadn't even been born the last time the Trojans won the North Bayside title. The school has never won the conference crown.
