EMMITSBURG — Eight Mount St. Mary’s University students in the Green Terror Battalion, including North Dorchester High School graduate Jayke Conner of Hurlock, swore their oath of enlistment and committed to pursuit of a commission in the U.S. Army in a recent ceremony.

SALISBURY — Three cadets from Salisbury University’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program recently were commissioned as second lieutenants upon graduation.

WESTMINSTER — Noah C. Conner of Hurlock was one of six McDaniel College graduates commissioned May 18 as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Conner also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies on May 19.

BELLEVUE, Neb. — Airman Sheryl M. Leavell of Greensboro joined the United States Air Force on Dec. 16, 2014, with basic training at Lackland Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. Leavell is a graduate of North Caroline High School.
