Firefighters from multiple departments battled a blaze Wednesday evening, Feb. 10, that destroyed a three-story house at 24378 Deep Neck Road in Royal Oak. Crews arrived shortly after 6 p.m. to find heavy fire that caused a roof and wall collapse. The fire went to a second alarm with tankers needed to help supply water. St. Michaels, Easton, Trappe, Tilghman, Cordova, Queen Anne-Hillsboro, Denton, Cambridge Rescue and Oxford volunteer fire companies responded. It took until 8:14 p.m. to get the fire under control.
