CENTREVILLE — Chris Marks, Chief Operating Officer of Preston Automotive Group, presented Queen Anne’s County High School Automotive Technology Instructor, Kevin Prosser and his class, with a check for $4,433 as a donation to the program. A portion of each car or truck sold at Preston Automotive Group during the month of March, was donated to several local schools to support advanced education. Marks spoke to the students about the importance of the automotive industry and the opportunities for a lifelong career, including one with them if interested.
QACPS Supervisor of CTE (Career and Technical Education), Adam Tolley, QACHS Principal John Schrecongost, and several members of the Preston Automotive Group Family were present. Tolley commented, “This donation will directly benefit the students in this program. These additional funds will allow us to continue to purchase supplies and equipment for automotive learning. We can’t thank Preston Automotive Group enough for allowing our students to directly benefit from this donation.”
According to the Preston Group Website, “Preston Automotive Group’s unwavering appreciation for advanced education is why we proudly dedicate the navy Preston Frog to local automotive technician programs. Our goal is to give back to the community through our donations to the following schools: Delcastle Tech, Del Tech Owens, CCTC Caroline County Automotive Program, Parkside Career Tech Center, Carroll County Tech, and Queen Anne’s Tech. When service technicians enroll in these exceptional automotive programs to become certified, they have our full support every step of the way. We pridefully color our Preston Frog navy to show our love and appreciation for continued learning, growth, and education.”
