DENTON — Entries are now being accepted for the 2019 Caroline/Dorchester County Fair.

Entrants must pre-register exhibits, and all entry forms are due by Monday, July 1. They may be postmarked or dropped off at the University of Maryland Extension Office at 9194 Legion Road, Suite 4, Denton. No emailed or faxed entries will be accepted.

The fair will run from Wednesday, Aug. 7, to Saturday, Aug. 10. The annual fair is a combined effort to give youth and residents of both counties the opportunity to exhibit their projects, hobbies and talents, as well as participate in contests and activities.

Youth and adults are able to exhibit items such as baked goods, art, crafts, photography, sewing projects, vegetables, flowers/plants, horses, rabbits, livestock and much more.

Exhibitors receive premium money after the fair based on how their exhibits placed in the classes. There are classes for Open Youth (ages 5-18 who are not in 4-H) and Open Adult (anyone ages 19 and over).

There are also many contests and activities to participate in, including Royal Pageant, Cake Auction, Greased Pig Contest, Children’s Day, Dress a Goat Contest, Pet Show and more fun for all ages.
