Cambridge election officials consider provisional ballots

Cambridge election officials consider provisional ballots cast in the municipal election.

CAMBRIDGE — The results of the Cambridge city election were certified by election officials at noon on Monday, Oct. 19, in Cambridge.

Mayoral candidates Victoria Jackson-Stanley and Andrew Bradshaw face off in the December run off.

In Ward 4, Sputty Cannon defeated incumbent Dave Cannon. Brian Roche took a sufficient percentage of the vote to win Ward 1, and Chad Malkus ran unopposed in Ward 5.

In Ward 3, Gary Gordy will face Jameson Harrington in the run off. Gordy, Harrison, and Duane Farrow all received an additional vote from the provisional ballots that were accepted, but Harrison retained his two vote lead over Farrow to retain the second place finish, and a spot in the upcoming run off.

The Ward 2 run off will feature Donald Sydnor facing Lajan Cephas.
