Today at Talbot County Council

The Talbot County Council will meet at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, in the Bradley Meeting Room to work on the fiscal year 2021 budget. Because of COVID-19 precautions, the public is invited to listen to and view the meeting remotely.

EASTON — Members of the Talbot County Council will work on the fiscal year 2021 budget, and while they will be meeting in the Bradley Meeting Room, county residents will be able to listen or tune in remotely.

The second budget preparation work session will take place at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 26.

After County Finance Director Angela Lane provides opening remarks, the discussion may range across departments depending on the extent of the budget preparation discussions at the prior budget preparation work session, the need to revisit certain topics, and new developments affecting the county’s financial needs.

The Council reserves the right to decide whether to take public comment on the budget preparation discussion or any portion thereof.

The Council may go into closed session in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, including, without limitation, to discuss personnel matters, receive legal advice, and consider the acquisition of property for a public purpose, as set forth in the statement for closing the meeting.

The Council reserves the right to go into closed session at other times during the meeting as determined in the council’s sole discretion.
