“Landscape” a mosaic by Lisa Scarbath

OCEAN CITY — The works of local artists Lisa Scarbath and Pat Lang will be included in the “Shared Visions” art show at the Center for the Arts in Ocean City.

This unique show pairs 2D and 3D visual art and writing. The Art League of Ocean City partnered with the Ocean City Writers Group to create an exhibition that explores both visual and literary arts. This year the collaboration began with the visual artists submitting their creations. Artwork was then chosen by the writers based on what inspired them to compose poetry, prose or other written words.

Scarbath, who creates her mosaics under the name Pieceful Designs Mosaics, created a mosaic landscape for this show. Her work can be seen at www.PiecefulDesignsMosaics.com, as well as on Facebook and Instagram.

Lang, who primarily works in oils, submitted a still life painting entitled Heartfelt. Her work can be seen on her website www.patlangartist.com, Facebook and Instagram.

“Shared Visions” will be on display in the main gallery at the Center for the Arts, located at 502 94 Street in Ocean City from Jan. 5 to Feb. 27. A reception with the writers reading their works and the paintings that they chose to write about will be presented via Zoom.

The Center is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 .pm. and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the exhibit and Zoom presentation visit www.artleagueofoceancity.org or call 410-524-9433.
