Celebrating the 4th with flare

OCEAN CITY — During the Winterfest of Lights, more than 1 million holiday lights sparkle throughout the streets of Ocean City; on New Year’s Eve, the night sky over the beach town will be lit up as well, with a midnight fireworks display.

The Town of Ocean City will be hosting the fireworks show at Northside Park, with festivities beginning at 11 p.m. as Jamaica Avenue will be closed off outside of Bourbon Street on the Beach. Radio Ocean City’s DJ BK will be live hosting remotely on a big screen, with music and a countdown to midnight.

Northside Park will be closed to the public, but the fireworks will be visible from the surrounding sidewalks and parking lots.
