Black Dog Alley to show diverse influences

EASTON — Local band Black Dog Alley will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, in the Avalon Theatre’s Stoltz Listening Room.

When asked what kind of music they play, the members of Black Dog Alley simply reply, “Anything that’s good.”

With a set list ranging from classic jam rock and rhythm and blues, to funk and reggae-tinged grooves, this Easton-based band lists among its influences Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, ZZ Top and Sublime.

Black Dog Alley has spent several years traveling from Philadelphia to Baltimore to the Eastern Shore and Delaware performing, writing more songs and honing its sound.

Tickets are $20, and available by calling the Avalon box office at 410-822-7299 or going online to www.avalon theatre.com.
