ST. MICHAELS — St. Michaels-based lifelong drummer, percussionist and songwriter Mark Gadson has partnered with a group of musicians, including world renowned saxophonist Joe Sublett, in producing his debut album of high-energy fusion, funk and jazz tracks.

Gadson received his Bachelor of Music degree in percussion performance from DePauw University’s school of music, where we went on to become a percussionist with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra while doing post-graduate studies at the University of Tennessee.

Since then, Gadson has recorded, performed and toured with some of the most respected musicians of our time, including Benny Goodman, Bob Hope, Lynn Anderson, Sarah McLachlan, Andrea Corr and Loreena McKennitt.

Gadson’s debut EP album, “So What!,” which features five original songs, was released digitally June 1 on iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, CD Baby and other online music vendors.
