Local band to give 'drive-in' concert

Local band Saved by Zero will give a “drive-in”-style benefit concert Saturday, June 6, at Triple Creek Winery in Cordova.

CORDOVA — Local ‘80s new wave band Saved by Zero will perform a “drive-in”-style benefit concert from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Triple Creek Winery in Cordova.

The benefit event will be set up like a drive-in theater featuring a live band instead of a movie. Vehicles will be parked with proper social distancing, and the show will be broadcast via FM transmitter for people to dial in on their radios if they choose.

There will be a food truck on the grounds, along with Triple Creek wine and other beverages.

There is no charge for the concert, but donations will be accepted, which will benefit critical staff and first responders child care through the YMCA of the Chesapeake.
