EASTON — The Tidewater Inn will host its New Orleans-inspired Jazz Brunch on Sunday, March 15.

Back for the third year, the Tidewater Inn will welcome the Conservatory Classic Jazz Band, a seven-piece group of jazz performers. The band’s musical repertoire includes Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Bix Beiderbecke, Bessie Smith, Eddie Condon, Benny Goodman and other early jazz pioneers.

The band formed in 2003 to present the sounds of traditional jazz to Washington, D.C., audiences.

Originally affiliated with a local music conservatory, the band now operates independently.

The members of the Conservatory Classic Jazz Band have deep experience in jazz education, and conducting workshops and “informances” about America’s early jazz heritage remains a part of its mission.

At Sunday’s Jazz Brunch, a buffet will feature New Orleans-inspired brunch dishes, including Chef Ray’s turtle soup, eggs with green onion sausage and shrimp gravy, chicken and andouille jambalaya pasta, stuffed crepes, bananas foster waffles, and Southern-inspired sides and desserts.

Seatings are available at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and priced at $39.95 per adult, which includes brunch and nonalcoholic beverages.
