NASA Aerospace Engineer Russell Werneth will give a presentation at the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19.

EASTON — NASA Aerospace Engineer Russell Werneth will give a presentation on NASA’s renowned Hubble mission at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library.

Werneth is famous for having successfully overseen EVA astronaut spacewalks to service the Hubble Space Telescope. He also played an important role in designing one-of-a-kind tools, procedures and training protocols for shuttle missions to the Hubble.

Werneth holds master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and engineering administration. He has served as an instructor and lecturer at the University of Maryland and as an adjunct professor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. After retiring from civil service in 2007, Werneth returned to NASA to serve as educational and public outreach engineer for Hubble Space Telescope and astrophysics at Goddard.
