EASTON — Easton Church of the Brethren will host a concert by the Bittersweet Gospel Band at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. The event is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be collected, with proceeds going to support church planting efforts in the Church of the Brethren’s Mid-Atlantic District.
The eight-member Bittersweet Gospel Band includes five pastors and other church musicians from Virginia, Indiana and California. While many of the members have changed over the years, the band’s roots go back to the 1990s.
Bittersweet brings an upbeat, uplifting, multicultural and faith-centered message to audiences around the country with one or two tours each year. Easton will be one of six stops on the band’s fall 2018 tour and the only one in Maryland.
The church is at 412 S. Harrison St., Easton. For questions or further information, contact Easton Church of the Brethren at 410-822-0475 or visit www.eastonbrethren.org.
