ST. MICHAELS — The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum held its annual Boating Party Pre-Party on Sunday, June 23.

The event featured both a live and silent auction, and a kayak race, the proceeds of which help underwrite CBMM’s annual Boating Party, as well as CBMM’s Rising Tide after-school boatbuilding program.

As CBMM’s signature fall gala, the Boating Party includes cocktails, dinner, and dancing on Navy Point. Funds raised support CBMM’s mission to inspire an understanding of and appreciation for the rich maritime heritage of the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal reaches, together with the artifacts, cultures, and connections between this place and its people.

Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, this year’s theme is “Celebrating the Songs of the Chesapeake.” To request an invitation, or to reserve your table, please contact CBMM Advancement Manager Josh Deutsch at 410-745-4950 or jdeutsch@cbmm.org. For more details, visit cbmm.org.
