Guest barktenders to raise money for Talbot Humane

Mark Potter and Matt Spence won the 2019 Barktender contest for Talbot Humane's fundraiser. The 2020 "Top Dog" Barktender competition is set for Thursday, Feb. 20.

EASTON — The third annual Doc’s Top Dog Barktender competition to benefit the animals of Talbot Humane kicks off the first of four 2020 guest bartender nights, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Doc’s Downtown Grille, 14 N. Washington St., Easton.

The 2018 champions, local DJs Matt Spence and Mark Potter, are returning for a repeat shot at the title of Doc’s Top Dog Barktenders. The evening will include drink and dinner specials, with music provided by Spence.

In four events to be held in 2020, guest bartenders will compete to raise the most money for Talbot Humane through tips and donations on the night of the event, as well as a percentage of food sales donated by Doc's.

Winners’ names appear on the perpetual Doc’s Top Dog Barktender trophy, permanently displayed behind the bar at Doc’s in Easton.
