4-H’ers decorate festive candy cane tree
The Chesapeake Bay 4-H Club decorated a Candy Cane Christmas 8-foot tree for Festival of Trees this year. From left are Katherine McQuillan, Caleigh Freeman, Bree Haufe, Becca McQuillan, Billy Haufe and Andrew Ottey. Christian Ottey was absent from picture. Club members started decorating miniature trees and worked their way up through the years to an 8-foot tree for the 34th annual Festival of Trees: A Timeless Christmas presented by Friends of Talbot Hospice. The club worked on throughout the year, making decorations and garland. They finished decorating it the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 26. The members received lots of praise and were excited to see their completed project. Most of all, they were happy they could help Talbot Hospice. They helped with three other trees after they completed their own tree and were asked to make a 10-foot tree next year. Stephanie Whitby assisted with the decorations and supplies.
