Navy League holiday program features Queen Anne's Chorale

Bob Huntington will direct The Queen Anne’s Chorale during the holiday program of the Navy League Eastern Shore Council on Dec. 10.

EASTON — The Queen Anne’s Chorale Select Ensemble, directed by Bob Huntington, will anchor the Navy League Holiday Program on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Talbot Country Club. There will be Coast Guard awards and featured guests.

This will be the 270th meeting of the Eastern Shore Navy League Council.

Everyone is invited to enjoy the social hour starting at 5 p.m., followed by dinner call at 6 p.m. The holiday program will start during the dessert hour at 7 p.m. The cost is $45 per person, and nonmembers are always welcome.

Dinner beverages, rolls and butter are included with the 3-course dinner. There will be a cash bar. The Navy League honors World War II veterans with complimentary beverages.

The Eastern Shore Navy League Council sponsors the U.S. Navy Wallops Island Surface Combat Systems Center and the U.S. Coast Guard Station Oxford. Council donations are made to active sea service Fleet Recreation Funds.

The Council also supports three high school JROTC units, providing awards, scholarships and financial gifts when possible. The Council’s efforts are generously supported by corporate sponsors, including BAE Inc. and Tysons Food Products Inc.
