PRESTON — The Preston Lions Club is inviting local organizations to participate in the second Annual Preston Christmas Parade and festivities.
This year's parade will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, on Sunset Boulevard. Following the parade, there will be a variety of holiday events at the Preston Carnival Grounds.
These events include but are not limited to: dance routines, music/caroling, police K-9 demonstration, Festival of Trees for auction and some other fun things. All events will be appropriately spaced and mask wearing is encouraged.
Families and businesses are invited to donate a decorated tree for the Festival of Trees Auction to be held on Sunday, Dec. 13, following the parade. The carnival grounds will be open at 9 a.m. Sunday, December 13, to set up and decorate the trees. All proceeds will go to the Preston Lions Club.
The Preston Carnival is the main source of income for the Preston Lions Club, and because it was canceled due to the pandemic, this has caused a financial burden for the club to maintain and keep the building in good working condition. The community's help is needed to rally together and make this a great fundraiser for the Preston Lions Club.
