EASTON — The Talbot County Arts Council has approved Community Arts Development Grants to 31 local organizations for arts-related programs and projects during fiscal year 2020 (July 2019 through June 2020). The budget for these programs is $80,000, made possible with funding provided by the Maryland State Arts Council, Talbot County, and the Towns of Easton, Oxford, and St. Michaels. The recipients of this year’s grants are:

Major Arts Organizations Based in Talbot County: Academy Art Museum, Inc.; Avalon Foundation, Inc.; Chesapeake Music, Inc.; Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Inc.

The Talbot County Arts Council’s next regular grant cycle will be for Arts-in-Education Grants to local elementary and secondary schools during 2019-2020. This will be announced in August with an application cutoff of September 30. Requests for Mini-Grants of up to $500 are accepted by the Arts Council at any time, with decisions and cash awards if appropriate the following month.
