PRESTON — Two Baltimore residents face drug charges after a traffic stop in Preston April 16.

Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle driven by Christopher M. Bowers of Baltimore on the 200 block of Main Street at 12:41 p.m. for an alleged traffic violation. They conducted a probable cause search of the car which found 138.7 grams of marijuana and a large amount of cash, police said. Deputies seized the drugs and cash and arrested both Bowers and his passenger, Destiny N. Health, also of Baltimore.

Both were charged with possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana and drug possession with intent to distribute.

A judge set Bowers’ bail at $5,000; he posted $500 cash bond April 19 and was released.

Heath’s bail was set at $2,500. She was released April 19 on unsecured personal bond.

Preliminary hearings in both cases are set for May 14.
