RIDGELY — Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office on Oct. 4 arrested a Cordova man on drug charges.
According to a news release, deputies were dispatched to assist Ridgely police on a traffic stop with a possible wanted person as the driver.
Police said they identified the driver as Ronnie Stanford Jr., 35, of Cordova, and he was wanted on warrants through Caroline County District Court and Talbot County Circuit Court.
Police said the deputies found suspected heroin/fentanyl wax folds on Stanford, and a further search revealed a "heroin kit" with tourniquets, syringes, Q-tips, spoons and other items for the preparation and injection of heroin and fentanyl.
Stanford face charges including multiple counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
He was held at the Caroline County Detention Center in Denton on $2,500 bond for the drug charges and $2,500 bond for the district court warrant.
