MILLERSVILLE — A Denton man has been charged with making threats of mass violence.

Officers from Anne Arundel County Police Department Eastern District responded to Anne Arundel County Fire Department Headquarters on Veterans Highway in Millersville around noon Oct. 5 for a report of mass violence made by a civilian employee, police said.

The employee was identified at Jordan B. Hartlove, 24, of Denton. Hartlove allegedly made detailed statements to other fire department employees on Oct. 3 threatening to use a gun to harm people, police said.

An arrest warrant was issued on a charge of threats of mass violence. Hartlove was peacefully arrested in by an allied agency on Oct. 6, police said.

He remains in the Caroline County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing set for Thursday. A trial date has been set for Nov. 24 in Glen Burnie District Court.
