EASTON — Easton police arrested a 65-year-old Easton man May 12 after he allegedly called 911 multiple times.

According to a news release, Royce Murray called 911 for a nonemergency matter, and when officers met with him, he was highly intoxicated. Police said they told him to call the Easton Police Department’s nonemergency line.

Police said Murray called 911 several more times to report the same issues. When officers met with him again, police said, he became disorderly and caused a disturbance due to his intoxication.

Murray was arrested on charges of failing to obey a lawful order and intoxicated public disturbance. He was released on $2,000 unsecured bond, according to online court records.
