EASTON — A 51-year-old Easton man was criminally cited Friday, July 17, after he allegedly shoplifted cold medicine from Acme, and then fled on foot from police and store employees who confronted him.
Officers located and identified Wallace Thomas Faye after a pursuit. Faye reportedly had the cold medicine on his person when he was questioned by the officers. Store employees told police they saw Faye pocket the medicine and exit the store without paying.
After making contact with Faye, responding officers performed a “wanted check” and saw that the accused shoplifter had an outstanding criminal summons for allegedly stealing “various merchandise” from an Easton Walmart in 2019.
Faye was issued a criminal citation for theft less than $100. He was later released upon his signature to the citation and the summons, police said.
