EASTON — Easton police on Thursday, July 4, arrested an Easton woman on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
According to a news release, officers responded to the area of Port and Clay streets to investigate a report of people jumping out in front of vehicles traveling on Port Street.
During the investigation, police said, the officers saw an intoxicated man on the way to his residence. Whey they spoke to him, a woman approached and told them “they better get him while they can” and threatened to assault the man, police said.
Police told the woman — identified as Lacolia Fitchett, 37, of Easton — to leave the man alone and leave the area, they said.
Police said Fitchett started to walk away, then turned around and went after the man.
Officers arrested Fitchett, who also was visibly intoxicated, police said.
She was taken before a Talbot County District Court commissioner and released on personal recognizance, according to police.
