EASTON — Easton police on Thursday, June 13, arrested an Easton woman on charges of driving while impaired.
According to police, officers responded to the parking lot of Kohl's, where a sport utility vehicle had run over bushes and a curb. Prior to the officers' arrival, police said, the SUV left the area and reportedly hit a vehicle in the Acme parking lot.
At the scene of the accident, police said, officers met with the driver — Angela Jones Kendall, 51, of Easton — and noticed signs of impairment. Police said Kendall was unable to perform field sobriety tests and unable to provide a viable breath sample for obtaining a blood alcohol concentration.
Kendall told the officers she had consumed a high dose of two prescribed narcotics earlier in the day, police said.
She was charged with driving while impaired by drugs and/or alcohol, driving vehicle while impaired by a controlled dangerous substance, and negligent and reckless driving.
