GOLDSBORO — A Goldsboro man is charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property in connection to a domestic incident on Jan. 3, police said.
A deputy from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to the 25000 block of Goldsboro Road just before noon on Jan. 3 in reference to an assault.Â
Deputies spoke with the victim, who told police that she was assaulted by her boyfriend. The victim said she was punched in her face and her boyfriend broke her glasses. Police observed bruising to the left side of the victim's face.
The victim's boyfriend was identified as Scott Siter, 35, of Goldsboro.
Siter was charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property. He was ordered held without bond during an initial appearance and a Jan. 19 bail review.
Siter is scheduled for a trial in Caroline County District Court on Feb. 21.
