CHESTER — A Grasonville man was charged with assault after in altercation in the McDonald’s parking lot in Chester Plaza Aug. 18.

Deputy Lanard Pack of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Chester restaurant for a reported disturbance at 2:41 a.m. His investigation found Nicademus Weber, 26, was in the drive-through line when he got into a verbal argument with a 17-year-old male from Chester, who was parked in the parking lot, according to police.

The argument escalated, and Weber left his car and approached the teen’s vehicle. He struck the teen with his hand, police said.

A McDonald’s employee attempted to stop the fight and also was struck by Weber, police said. Pack stopped the fight when he arrived.

Weber was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
