HILLSBORO — Late last year, Maryland Natural Resources Police officers received a tip that a Henderson man, prohibited from having firearms, was hunting in the area of Greensboro. During their investigation, officers identified the man was Christopher Schulyer, 47, and secured a search warrant for his residence on Diggins Road.
On Jan. 28, NRP executed a search and seizure warrant on the residence and located four firearms that were reported stolen. The other occupant of the house, Tina Lynch, 41, was also prohibited from possessing guns and ammunition.
In addition to locating the guns, police said they found a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and approximately 345 grams of marijuana.
Both Schulyer and Lynch were charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, possession of a controlled dangerous substance — not marijuana, paraphernalia, marijuana and theft. They are being held at the Caroline County Detention Center without bond, NRP said.
