EASTON — Easton police on Tuesday, Sept. 3, arrested a Pennsylvania man on a theft charge.

According to a news release, officers responded to Lowe's to investigate a reported theft.

Police said employees told them Joseph Snyder, 34, of Chambersburg, Pa., cut the tags off a Dewalt drill battery and charger. He paid for another item, they said, but concealed the battery and charger, and did not pay for them.

The total value of the items was $243, police said.

Snyder was arrested and charged with theft less than $1,500. He was released on $2,000 unsecured bond.
