EASTON — Law enforcement agencies from throughout Talbot County and the Maryland State Highway Administration will join forces to conduct a sobriety checkpoint the week of July 14 to 20.

According to a press release from Maryland State Police, the checkpoint will occur at a predetermined location in Talbot County, and it is part of the “Checkpoint Strikeforce” operation. The goal is to reduce the number of drunk and drugged drivers on Talbot roads, the press release states.
