EASTON — Easton police on Friday, June 28, served John Edward Scott, 33, of Ridgley, a criminal summons charging him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to charging documents, Scott was a passenger in a vehicle during a traffic stop, during which capsules with suspected drugs were found.

An analysis found the substance in the capsules was fentanyl, police said.

Scott was issued his copies of the paperwork and released on his signature.
