EASTON — Easton police on Tuesday, July 2, arrested two Salisbury women on drug charges.
According to police, officers saw a blue passenger car traveling east on U.S. Route 50 at High Street without its taillights on at night. Police said they stopped the car and identified the driver as Madeline A. Eckenrode, 25, and a front seat passenger as Emilie L. Forrester, 20, both of Salisbury.
Officers searched the car after smelling marijuana, according to police.
Police said the search revealed 16 plastic bags containing suspected cocaine, multiple containers with a total of 28 grams of suspected marijuana, three plastic bags with a total of 15 doses of suspected LSD, one plastic bag containing four capsules of suspected lisdexamfetamine, one plastic bag with one dose of suspected amphetamine/dextroamphetamine and one plastic bag with a crushed dose of MDMA. They also found a large amount of plastic bags similar to those containing the suspected cocaine, police said.
Police arrested Eckenrode and Forrester on multiple counts of drug possession and drug possession with intent to distribute. They were held without at the Talbot County Detention Center.
