CAMBRIDGE — Dorchester County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Cambridge man on drug charges Wednesday, Oct. 30.

According to a news release, Howard Lee Chestnut Jr., 41, 401 Robbins Street, Apt. 2, was the target of an investigation, and deputies found him on the front step of his residence.

Police said a search of Chestnut and his apartment led to the recovery of numerous items of drug paraphernalia, including digital scales, several unknown pills, ecstasy/MDMA and crack cocaine.

Chestnut was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of ecstasy/MDMA and two counts of possession of paraphernalia. He was ordered held without bond.
