EASTON — Two Mid-Shore men are facing drug charges as a result of an investigation by the Easton Police Department's Narcotics Unit.

According to a press release, detectives started an investigation in June into possible drug activity in the 100 block of Port Street. Police said the investigation began due to tips from concerned citizens.

On Friday, June 28, police said, detectives executed a search-and-seizure warrant on a residence and seized suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested Willie James Curry, 54, of Easton on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not marijuana), and Nicholas Lee Elzey, 30, of Cambridge on one count of CDS possession (not marijuana).

Police said Curry was held at the Talbot County Detention Center on $5,000 bond, and Elzey was held on $2,500.

The EPD Narcotics Unit was assisted by the EPD Criminal Investigations Unit, EPD Bike Patrol Unit, EPD Patrol Division, EPD Crisis Response Unit and the Talbot County Narcotics Task Force.
