EASTON — A Virginia woman is facing multiple charges after crashing her car June 2 on U.S. Route 50.

According to Easton police, officers responded to the area of Denny's, where a 2012 Ford Focus had crashed into a ditch. Police said the driver — Amber Lynn Buckley, 29, of Spotsylvania Courthouse, Va. — was standing next to the car.

Police said officers smelled alcohol coming from Buckley and noticed she had poor balance and her speech was slurred. Buckley then failed field sobriety tests and submitted to an intoximeter test, which gave a result of 0.16.

Buckley was charged with negligent driving, reckless driving, driving under the influence, driving while impaired and driving under the influence per se. She was released on her personal recognizance.
