EASTON — An Easton woman faces DUI charges after she drove through a guardrail, according to Easton Police.According to police, they responded to a single car accident on Ocean Gateway near Route 322 at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.

Officers found the vehicle had broken through the guardrail and landed on a tree in a wooded area, and then found the driver, Ashley Howe, 24, of Easton.

Howe had some injuries, police said, and was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton. Howe was later charged with failure to control speed, driving in excess of reasonable and prudent speed, driving while intoxicated and driving under the influence.
