ST. MICHAELS — Choptank Community Health Center’s Bay Hundred Medical and Dental Center recently welcomed family medicine specialist Russell A. Schilling, DO, to the medical practice.
Schilling specializes in comprehensive family medicine, with more than 26 years of medical experience serving local communities. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Schilling received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Washington College, with minors in biology and German.
He completed a rotating internship at the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine in Portland and received training at the University of Maryland Department of Family Medicine, where Schilling served as Chief Resident and was the recipient of the department’s Geriatric Excellence Award.
As a major in the United States Air Force, he served in the 23rd and 86th Medical Squadrons in The Netherlands and Ramstein, Germany, respectively.
Choptank Community Health’s medical services include primary health care, women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral health, chronic health management, care navigation, and laboratory services, with new medical patients now being welcomed.
