Greensboro house fire

Fire destroyed this house in Greensboro Friday, Sept. 11.

GREENSBORO — The cause of a house fire at 104 Boyce Mill Road in Greensboro on Sept. 11 is under investigation. According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal the fire was reported shortly after noon by the occupant John Carlisle Sr.

The fire began in the bedroom of the two-story, single family dwelling, although the origin of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported. Damages are estimated at $120,000.

Units from the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Department responded and had the fire under control in less than an hour.
