EASTON — The Talbot Democratic Women’s Club will hold its annual holiday luncheon at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Chesapeake Landing on state Route 33 west of St. Michaels.

Tickets are available.

The keynote speaker will be Del. Sheree Sample-Hughes, D-37A-Dorchester-Wicomico.

At the 24th annual Maryland Legislative Black Caucus & Foundation Gala on Nov. 17, Sample-Hughes was presented the “Delegate of the Year” award.

She has served in leadership roles in a number of caucuses in the legislature, including the Black Caucus of Maryland, Executive Committee of the Veteran’s Caucus and Women’s Legislators of Maryland executive board.

Keasha Haythe of Foundation of Hope will present the TDWC with an award and talk about her organization. Mayor Jake Day of Salisbury will also attend.

Chesapeake Landing will have a fixed menu of five choices for $21.08 each (including tax & gratuity). Since ticket holders will have separate checks, they can order drinks or desserts and will pay their checks after dining. Diners will be welcome to order from their regular menu if they so choose.

Due to limited space, RSVP to joyce202@verizon.net.
