St. Michaels man accused of raping juvenile


ST. MICHAELS — The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has arrested a St. Michaels man in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile.

Jimmie Patterson Jr., 69, is accused of sexually abusing a juvenile. Talbot County Sheriff’s Office detectives learned of the alleged incident after the juvenile’s mother reported it on March 1.

The sheriff’s office Criminal Investigations Division launched an investigation into the woman’s claims and received information from interviews that indicates Patterson sexually assaulted the juvenile. Patterson was arrested and charged in connection with the allegations on March 3.

Patterson faces charges of second-degree rape, third-degree sex offense, sexual abuse of a minor, and other related charges.

The sheriff’s office is anyone who might have information relating to similar incidents involving Patterson to report it by calling 410-822-1020.
